Hallo there. You've reached the exciting "me-me-me" bit where I bang on endlessly about who I am and what I do. In a nutshell I'm a freelance author, editor, journalist and photographer, covering nebulous 'genres' like music, travel, lifestyle and culture. I've been lucky enough to explore a great deal of the world and had numerous articles, images and books published along the way.
The publications I've written / photographed for over the last decade include (but are not restricted to) the BBC, Dazed & Confused, DJ, DrownedInSound, Electronic Beats, The Face, fRoots, The Guardian (Travel & Music), iDJ, The Independent, More Intelligent Life, Observer Music Monthly, National Geographic Music, Time Out, Wax Poetics and The Wire.
Here's a breakdown of the books, and some press / info on them.

What else?
I've exhibited my images in Sydney, Plymouth (UK) and Berlin, regularly contribute stock photography to Moodboard and previously collaborated with fellow snapper Rob Ditcher on the online image gallery Photografik. I'm currently putting together an online travel photography course for Matador Network (the largest independent travel network in the State), which you can read about here.
As well as freelance journalism and photography I'm active as an Editor-At-Large over at Matador and Content Editor for the Icelandic Music Export office and Ja Ja Ja Nordic Music project.
When I'm not busy with all that, I act as an informant for the semi-fictitious International Necronautical Society and faff around with 'real' fiction such as Hyperkinetic, an anthology of urban-themed fiction I'm currently co-editing for Phoenix Publishing (alongside fellow fiction fafferer Joe Shooman). Hyperkinetic is due out in March 2010 but you can read some excerpts here.
